Valve Component Machining
Valves are the parts that have to seal, hold pressure, and move under load — thousands of cycles, sometimes in chloride-heavy environments. That's the work B&R Productions has been machining since 1994.
What we machine
Gate and ball valve bodies, bonnets, valve seats, stems, gate wedges, trims, plug internals, safety-valve components, choke bodies, ball sleeves, and mating hardware. Both new-manufacture and reverse-engineered legacy parts.
Alloys we routinely handle
Inconel 718 and 625 for high-pressure/high-temperature seats and trims. Super Duplex 2507 for chloride-service bodies. 17-4 PH for stems and gate wedges. F22, F91, 4130, 4140 for wellhead-grade valve bodies. 316 stainless when the process allows.
Precision that matters for sealing
Seat-groove finishes measured, not estimated. Concentricity and roundness held tighter than most job-shop lathes can offer. Bore and seat mating surfaces machined in one setup wherever possible to eliminate stack-up error.
Emergency valve rebuilds
Frac fleets, wellhead crews, and production operators call when a critical valve is down. Same-week is realistic; same-day when the material is on the shelf. Call (936) 291-7827.

Frequently asked questions
Can you machine complete valve bodies from forgings?
Yes — we regularly machine valve bodies from customer-supplied or B&R-sourced forgings in F22, F91, 4130/4140, and 17-4 PH.
Do you machine to API 6D / API 6A tolerances?
Yes. See /services/api-6a-machining/ for the API 6A depth; API 6D valve components follow the same practice — measured finishes, CMM verification, material traceability.
Can you reverse-engineer discontinued valve parts?
Yes, weekly work. Send a worn sample and we'll produce the replacement with material traceability the OEM never gave you.
What tolerances are realistic on valve seats?
±0.0005" on critical sealing surfaces is routine. Surface-finish specs are measured, not estimated.
